Toco Toucan Resting Near Large Tropical Leaves Colouring Page

A calm Toco Toucan rests on a low branch beside several large tropical leaves. Its feet grip the perch, folded wings lie neatly against its body and its huge curved bill angles slightly upward. The broad leaves create a sheltered jungle setting while the single bird remains prominent. How to colour: Colour the crown, back, wings and tail rich black with subtle blue-black feather highlights, and keep the throat and chest bright white. Use clear sky blue around the eye and dark brown for the iris. Blend the large bill from golden yellow near the face to brilliant orange, add a red-orange lower edge and finish with a black tip. Make the feet cool blue-grey and the branch warm chestnut. Use emerald, jade, sap green and lime across the oversized leaves, adding darker green beneath overlaps. Lay down light layers first, follow feather direction with smooth strokes and shade each leaf from its central vein toward the edge.
