Toco Toucan Perched on a Rainforest Branch Colouring Page

A Toco Toucan perches upright on a broad rainforest branch with both feet wrapped securely around the wood. Its giant bill points forward, folded wings rest against the body and the long tail hangs below the perch. A few simple leaves frame the alert single bird. How to colour: Colour the crown, back, wings and tail rich black, using very dark navy along selected feather edges so the layers remain visible. Leave the throat and upper chest clean white, make the eye ring clear sky blue and the iris brown-black. Colour the oversized bill golden yellow at the base, bright orange through the centre, red-orange along the lower edge and black at the tip. Use cool blue-grey for the feet, chestnut and ochre for the branch, and emerald, jade and lime green for the leaves. Work with smooth feather-direction strokes, shade the underside of the branch and preserve small white highlights on the bill.
