Toco Toucan Flying Across the Jungle Colouring Page

A Toco Toucan flies across the jungle with both broad wings fully extended, its giant bill pointing forward and its long tail spread behind. Rounded rainforest treetops lie below while open sky keeps the entire single bird clear. The strong diagonal pose shows the toucan moving between trees. How to colour: Use deep black on the crown, back, wing coverts and tail, with dark navy highlights to separate overlapping feathers. Keep the throat, chest and rump white. Colour the eye ring sky blue, the iris brown-black and the huge bill golden yellow at the base, vivid orange through the centre, red-orange below and black at the tip. Use blue-grey for the tucked feet. Build the jungle canopy from emerald, forest, olive and lime greens, with warm brown trunks. Shade each flight feather separately from base to tip, deepen the underside lightly and leave the sky white or add a very pale blue wash.
