Toco Toucan Drinking Water After the Rain Colouring Page

A Toco Toucan stands at the edge of a fresh puddle after tropical rain and bends to drink. The tip of its enormous bill touches the water while both feet rest on the wet ground and folded wings balance the single bird. Ripples, droplets, smooth stones and glossy leaves make the quiet drinking action clear. How to colour: Use rich black for the crown, back, wings and tail, leaving the throat and chest white and adding a few deep navy highlights. Colour the eye ring sky blue, iris dark brown and bill golden yellow at the base, vivid orange through the centre, red-orange along the lower edge and black at the tip. Use blue-grey for the feet, pale blue for the puddle and raindrops, soft grey and brown for the stones and soil, and emerald green for the wet leaves. Follow the feathers with smooth strokes, use curved pale-blue strokes around the ripples, add darker colour beneath each stone and preserve white highlights on the bill and drops.
