T-Rex Standing Among Tall Ferns Colouring Page

A T-Rex stands alert among tall prehistoric ferns, with its enormous head raised as it looks across the ancient forest. Its complete body remains visible between the plants, including two-fingered arms, muscular hind legs and a long tail. Layered fern fronds and a few distant trunks create a lush but open setting. How to colour: Use earthy brown on the T-Rex's back and head, blend olive green along the sides and add sandy cream to the throat and belly. Place muted dark green stripes over the tail, colour the eye golden yellow and make the claws charcoal grey. Use several greens on the ferns: deep forest green in the rear, emerald on the middle fronds and bright lime on the youngest leaves. Colour the tree trunks chestnut and umber, and make the ground tan with small warm-grey stones. Work from the dinosaur outward, use short curved strokes to suggest scales, then shade every fern from its central stem toward the leaf tips.
