Springer Spaniel Colouring

This cheerful English Springer Spaniel stands beside a shallow stream with reeds and smooth stones. Springers are active sporting dogs with long ears, feathered legs and happy wagging tails. Colour the coat liver brown and white, black and white, or add small tan markings on the face and legs. Use cool blue for the water, green for the reeds and grey or warm brown for the stones. Begin with the broad coat patches, leave the white blaze and chest clean and follow the feathery fur with gentle strokes. Add a few light ripples to the stream, then finish the banks softly so the eager dog remains the main feature.
