Sociable Weaver Nest Colouring

A strong savanna tree supports a gigantic communal nest shaped like a heavy straw roof. Six separate entrance holes line the underside as sociable weavers fly in and out, while three birds sit together on a branch. Colour the little birds sandy brown, cream and grey with darker wing markings. Make the huge woven nest golden yellow, tan and pale brown, using slightly different shades for its many grassy strands. Use warm brown on the tree, green on the distant acacias and blue or golden yellow for the sky and sun. Colour the enormous shared nest first, then give each doorway and bird its own careful detail.
