Seraphim Pigeon Colouring

Meet the Seraphim, a special fancy pigeon connected with East Moline, Illinois, United States of America. Its country or region of origin is East Moline, Illinois, United States of America. Young birds begin with reddish or yellowish Satinette-style colour, then lose pigment through their first major molt and become snowy white adults. A pointed crest, convex mane, reversed chest frill, and lightly feathered feet create the angelic outline. One bird is called a Seraph; the plural is Seraphim. This modern breed has unusually clear records. Anya, also known as Anne, Ellis began the project in East Moline, Illinois, in 1986 after unusual young Oriental Frills molted to white. She bred and studied the trait over successive generations. The National Pigeon Association recognised the Seraphim in 1995, and the breed club continues to document its genetics and standard. Those dates are specific to the breed’s development, not guesses. Developed by Anya (Anne) Ellis beginning in 1986 and recognised by the National Pigeon Association in 1995. The Seraphim is a domestic pigeon, not a separate wild species. It is a small, compact owl-and-frill type with balanced feather ornaments rather than extreme size. Exhibition size is described by body proportions rather than one universal length, so individual birds vary. With a clean, dry loft, room to exercise, balanced pigeon food, mineral grit, fresh water, companionship, and prompt veterinary help, a well-kept domestic pigeon can often live about 8 to 15 years. Decorative feathers need gentle care, and heavily feathered feet or crests should be checked regularly. These birds belong with knowledgeable keepers; children can admire them quietly and let an adult handle all daily care. An adult Seraph is pure white, so colour with shadows instead of filling it solidly. Use very pale blue, lavender, or cool grey beneath the wings, crest, mane, and belly, leaving most paper white. A young bird could be imagined with warm red or yellow markings. Follow the feather direction with soft strokes and leave bright white highlights on the head and back. Colour the star-shaped flowers pink, gold, and purple, the leaves fresh green, and the butterflies in two cheerful patterns. Use pale blue for the small clouds. A sharp pencil will help define the dark eye, short beak, crest tip, and toe feathers. The goal is to make a white pigeon look rounded without losing its clean, luminous character.
