Scarlet Macaw Flock Resting in the Rainforest Canopy Colouring Page

A flock of five scarlet macaws rests together on one broad branch high in the rainforest canopy. Each bird is clearly separate with folded wings, a curved bill and a long tail, and the group faces in varied directions. Broad leaves and distant treetops frame the calm gathering while open spaces keep every macaw easy to see. How to colour: Colour all five macaws with brilliant scarlet heads and bodies, golden-yellow middle wing bands, and royal-blue outer wings and long tails. Keep the facial patches white, use ivory for the upper beaks, black for the lower beaks and grey for the feet. Vary the reds slightly from vermilion to deep scarlet so each bird stays distinct. Use chestnut and dark brown on the branch, then mix emerald, jade, olive and lime across the canopy leaves. Work bird by bird with smooth feather strokes, deepen overlaps carefully and shade the leaves more strongly behind pale facial areas.
