Scarlet Macaw Climbing a Tree with Its Beak and Feet Colouring Page

A scarlet macaw climbs the side of a tropical tree by gripping the bark with both feet and using its strong curved beak as a third point of support. Its folded wings lie close to the body while the long tail angles down the trunk. The climbing pose shows the bird's strength and balance. How to colour: Use brilliant scarlet red for the head, chest and back, golden yellow for the middle wing coverts, and rich royal blue for the outer folded wing and long tail. Leave the facial patch white with thin black feather lines, colour the upper beak ivory, lower beak black and feet slate grey. Build the trunk with tan, sienna and deep brown, and colour the few leaves in emerald and lime green. Follow the feathers with smooth downward strokes, press more firmly where they overlap, use short rough marks for bark texture and keep the beak edge pale so its grip remains clear.
