Rainbow Beach Colouring Page

A giant rainbow brightens a warm tropical beach after a brief summer shower. Two curved coconut palms frame the shore, gentle waves roll towards the sand, and a small sandcastle waits beside a beach ball and seashells. Tropical rain can arrive quickly when warm, moist air rises and cools into clouds. After the shower, sunlight shining through leftover droplets may produce a rainbow. The sea also takes part in the water cycle: sunshine helps water evaporate, clouds carry moisture, and rain returns fresh water to land and ocean. Start with the rainbow using smooth strokes that follow every curve. From the outside, try red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. For a glowing effect, press lightly for the first layer and add a stronger second layer down the centre of each band. Colour the sun golden yellow and keep the clouds mostly white with pale blue or grey edges. The sky can be light blue, while the ocean may combine turquoise, aqua and deeper blue horizontal strokes. Leave the tops of the curling waves white to suggest foam. Use sandy beige, cream or pale gold across the beach. The sandcastle can be a slightly darker shade, with warm brown beneath its doorway. Colour the little flag and beach ball in bright repeating sections. The shells might be peach, pink, lavender or pearl grey. Coconut palm trunks can be tan and brown with darker rings. Their long leaves work well in several tropical greens, and the coconuts may be green, yellow or brown depending on how ripe you imagine them. Follow each leaf from the centre stem towards the tip so the fronds look lively in the sea breeze. Keep the horizon level and use side-to-side strokes on the water to make it feel calm. Young artists can add tiny dots of darker tan around the shells for sand texture, but should leave plenty of open space. Beaches are beautiful habitats, so real visitors should take litter home, protect plants and never remove living creatures. While colouring, imagine warm sand under your feet, clean salty air and the soft sound of waves. The completed page can glow with post-rain colour while celebrating a clean, carefully protected tropical shore.
