Northern Cardinal Pair Page

A male and female Northern Cardinal perch together on a branch covered with round berries. The male sings with his crest raised while the female holds a small nesting twig. Colour the male bright red with a black face mask and orange beak. Give the female warm tan and soft brown feathers with red touches on her crest, wings and tail. Make the berries red, purple or blue, the leaves green and the branch deep brown. Colour the birds first, then follow the little twig and berry circles carefully. Leave some white around the pair so their pointed crests and friendly poses stand out.
