Mother Scarlet Macaw Feeding Her Chick Colouring Page

A mother scarlet macaw leans into a tree-hole nest to feed her young chick beak to beak. The adult grips the bark beside the rounded opening while the single chick reaches up from inside. Her long folded wings and tail contrast with the chick's short, soft developing feathers. How to colour: Colour the mother brilliant scarlet red across the head, chest and back, golden yellow on the middle wing band, and royal blue on the outer wing and tail feathers. Leave her facial patch white, make the upper beak ivory, lower beak black and feet grey. Use softer coral red, pale yellow and blue-grey for the chick's young plumage, with a light cream bill. Colour the trunk in warm brown, ochre and muted grey. Use smooth strokes on the adult feathers, short soft strokes on the chick, and broken vertical marks on the bark while keeping both faces light and clear.
