Mother Pigeon Feeding Its Chicks Colouring Page

A mother pigeon leans towards two young chicks in a twig nest. One chick reaches up to meet her bill while the other stays close beside it. The mother's larger rounded body and the chicks' small fluffy shapes make this a tender family moment, with the nest holding the birds together at the centre of the scene. How to colour: Use soft blue-grey for the mother, slate grey for her head and charcoal for the wing bars. Add touches of emerald green and violet on her neck. Colour the chicks cream and pale golden yellow, with light warm-grey developing feathers and soft pink bills. Use tan and chestnut brown for the nest. Work in short, light pencil strokes on the chicks to suggest down, then use smoother strokes on the mother. Darken the spaces between the twigs carefully and keep the chicks' faces light and clear.
