Mother Flamingo with Her Chick Colouring Page

A mother flamingo stands protectively beside her small chick in a quiet wetland. The tall adult lowers her curved neck toward the fluffy youngster, while the chick looks up from a small rounded nesting mound beside her long legs. Shallow water and low reeds support the caring family scene and keep both birds fully visible. How to colour: Use pale blush pink across the mother's neck and body, deepen the folded wing with coral and salmon, and add black only to the hidden flight-feather tips. Colour her bill light pink with a black end, her eye golden yellow and her legs warm rose. Give the chick soft pearl grey down with touches of pale cream on the chest, a charcoal-grey bill and short grey-pink legs. Make the shallow water pale blue and turquoise, the nesting mound sandy beige and light tan, and the reeds olive, lime and emerald green. Use long smooth strokes on the adult, tiny circular or feathery strokes on the chick, and a light blue reflection beneath both birds to hold the scene together.
