King Paradise Bird Colouring

A tiny male King Bird-of-Paradise hangs from a rainforest vine and performs an acrobatic display while the female observes from a nearby leafy branch. Colour the male scarlet red with a white belly, green-tipped tail ornaments and dark feet. Give the female soft brown, olive and cream feathers. Make the curling vine and broad leaves several shades of green, and add warm brown to the branch. Start with the hanging bird's clear pose and unusual tail, then colour the female and foliage. Keep the open spaces pale so the display remains easy for young artists to understand.
