Indian Peafowl Family Page

A proud peacock opens his enormous fan-shaped tail in a palace garden while a peahen walks nearby with two small chicks. Colour the peacock's neck sapphire blue and emerald green, then decorate every eye-shaped tail marking with blue, gold, turquoise and purple. The peahen can be soft brown, cream and olive, with lighter colours for her chicks. Add sandstone, pink or golden tones to the palace, and use fresh greens and bright flower colours in the garden. Work from the large tail outward so its repeating feather shapes stay neat and easy to recognise.
