Gymnastics Colouring Page

Gymnastics is a sport of balance, strength, flexibility, control, and creative movement. People have practised gymnastic exercises for thousands of years, and modern gymnastics includes several events and styles. Artistic gymnasts may perform on floor, vault, uneven bars, parallel bars, rings, pommel horse, or balance beam, depending on their programme. Rhythmic gymnastics uses hand apparatus such as ribbon, hoop, ball, clubs, or rope, while trampoline gymnastics focuses on controlled aerial skills. Beginners start with simple shapes, rolls, jumps, and balances close to the floor. They learn how to point toes, hold a steady body line, land softly with bent knees, and finish a movement with control. Progress comes little by little; even expert routines are built from basic skills practised carefully many times. Gymnastics should always take place in a suitable gym with a qualified coach, clear instructions, and the correct mats. A spotter may stand close to help with a new skill. Gymnasts warm up before training, use equipment designed for their size, tie back long hair, remove jewellery, and never copy a difficult trick without permission. Good teammates wait their turn and celebrate effort as well as success. This picture shows a cheerful child holding a graceful balance on a wide, low beam. A padded mat lies below, and the coach is close enough to help. The wall bars and simple star shapes make the indoor gym welcoming without hiding the main pose. Choose a bright colour for the gymnast's leotard or training suit, then add a second colour to the curved stripe. You could make the coach's shirt a softer matching shade. Balance beams are often tan or beige with metal supports, but yours can be purple, blue, or even rainbow coloured. Colour the safety mat pale blue, green, or pink so the black outlines stay clear. The wall bars might look like warm wood, and the stars could be golden yellow. Try leaving a little white shine inside each star. Use long strokes along the beam to show its length and careful short strokes around fingers, toes, and hair. While colouring, trace the gymnast's open arms and extended leg with your eyes. Those shapes show how the body spreads its weight to stay steady, while the mat and watchful coach show that safe practice always comes first.
