Greater Paradise Bird Page

A male Greater Bird-of-Paradise spreads his long flowing flank feathers during a treetop display while the female watches from another branch. Colour the male with golden yellow, rich brown, maroon and green, letting the long decorative plumes glow in lighter golden shades. Give the female warm brown and cream feathers. Use earthy brown for both branches and several greens for the tropical canopy leaves, with blue sky peeking through. Colour the sweeping flank feathers first so their shape stays clear, then finish the birds' faces, feet and simple treetop background.
