Golf Colouring Page

Golf is a precision sport in which players use clubs to guide a small ball around a course and into a series of holes. The modern game is strongly associated with Scotland, where written rules and organized courses developed centuries ago. Each hole begins from a starting area and ends at a cup marked by a flag. The aim is to finish using as few strokes as possible. Long clubs help send the ball down the fairway, while a putter rolls it carefully across the smooth green. Children often start on short courses, practice greens, or miniature-golf layouts with lightweight equipment. Golf rewards balance, patience, planning, and gentle control. A player checks the area, stands with steady feet, holds the club comfortably, and watches the ball. Everyone else stays well behind and quiet during a stroke. Young golfers should use age-appropriate clubs, follow an adult instructor, wear sun protection outdoors, drink water, and never swing near another person. Players repair small marks, avoid damaging plants, wait their turn, and count strokes honestly. These habits are called golf etiquette and help the course stay safe and pleasant. Putting is an ideal beginner skill because the swing is short and smooth rather than powerful. This page shows a cheerful child making a careful putt while a friend watches from a safe place beside the golf bag. Colour the putting green in bright or soft greens, using a slightly darker shade outside its curved edge. Leave the golf ball white with a light blue or grey outline so its tiny dimples remain visible. The putter can be silver grey with a colourful grip. Choose a sunny palette for the golfer’s cap, shirt, shorts, and shoes, then give the watching partner a different combination. Colour the flag red, yellow, or checked in two simple shades, and make the bag match one of the outfits. Use pale tan for the distant bunker, brown for tree trunks, layered greens for leaves, and blue around the clouds. Begin with the large lawn and clothing areas, then slow down for the ball, cup, club head, and bag pockets. Keep the path between ball and hole uncluttered so the gentle aiming action is easy to understand.
