Golden Pheasant Pair Page

A magnificent male Golden Pheasant proudly shows his long tail and striped cape while the female searches for seeds on the forest floor. Colour the male's crest golden yellow, his chest bright red and his cape orange with dark stripes. His long tail can mix tan, brown and black patterns. Give the female softer sandy brown and cream feathers so she blends with the woodland. Use green for ferns and leaves, warm brown for logs and soil, and tiny bright colours for forest flowers. Colour the largest feathers first, then carefully follow the cape stripes and seed shapes.
