Diving Colouring Page

Springboard and platform diving are sports in which athletes leave a board or platform, make controlled shapes in the air, and enter deep water as neatly as possible. Modern competitive diving developed alongside organised swimming, and it now includes individual and synchronised events. A diver may perform straight, tuck, pike, or twisting positions, depending on skill level and the planned dive. Judges look at the approach, take-off, height, body position, control, and entry. A clean entry is almost vertical with hands reaching first and only a small splash. Beginners do not start with complicated flips. They learn safe jumps, streamlined body shapes, forward entries, and how to use a low board while a qualified instructor watches. Strong diving uses spring from the legs, a firm middle, pointed toes, careful timing, and confidence built through practice. Diving must happen only in a supervised pool designed for it. The water needs enough depth, the space below must be completely clear, and only one diver uses a board at a time. Children should never dive into unknown, shallow, crowded, or natural water. They must listen to the instructor, wait for a signal, walk on wet decks, and climb out using the ladder. This colouring scene shows a young diver stretched into a simple streamlined position above an open landing area. The whole low board is visible behind the athlete, and an instructor watches from the deck. The quiet ripples below help children see where the diver will enter without making the scene frightening. Colour the diver's swimsuit in one strong colour, then add a second colour to the trim or hair tie. The instructor's clothes can match the pool team, perhaps navy with yellow or green with orange. Use pale blue or turquoise for the water, leaving thin white gaps to create sparkling reflections. Pool tiles can be cream, light grey, or alternating soft colours, while the springboard might be pale blue with a darker edge. Colour the windows very lightly so the diver remains the main focus. Use long smooth strokes along the straight legs and arms, and small strokes around fingers, toes, and ripples. As you colour, notice how the hands join, arms cover the ears, legs stay together, and toes point. That long pencil-like shape helps the diver move cleanly and safely toward the water.
