Cycling Colouring Page

Cycling is the activity of riding a bicycle for play, transport, exercise, adventure, or sport. A bicycle uses pedals, cranks, a chain, and gears to turn the rear wheel, while handlebars steer the front wheel. The rider balances by looking ahead, keeping a steady speed, and making small steering adjustments. Brakes help slow or stop the bicycle. Cycling sports include road racing, track cycling, mountain biking, BMX, cyclocross, and many other forms, but a quiet park path is a perfect place for a young learner to practise basic skills. Beginners learn to start, pedal smoothly, use both brakes, turn, look around safely, and stop with control. They also practise giving other path users plenty of room. Cycling strengthens the legs and heart, builds balance and coordination, and can make everyday journeys fun. Safety begins with a helmet that sits level and fits snugly. Children should ride with a responsible adult in an area suited to their ability, check tyres and brakes, wear closed shoes, and make sure loose clothing cannot catch in the wheels or chain. On shared paths, riders keep to the correct side for their location, slow near walkers, and use a bell or friendly voice before passing. Road riding requires extra knowledge of local traffic rules and should never be attempted alone by a young child. This page shows two smiling children riding standard bicycles along a curving park path with an adult following. Both children wear helmets, hold the handlebars with two hands, and leave safe space between their bikes. Trees, flowers, clouds, and a bench make the background cheerful but simple. Colour each bicycle differently so its frame is easy to follow. Try red with yellow details for one and blue with green details for the other. Tyres can be dark grey, rims silver, and reflectors orange. Give the helmets bright, visible colours and add matching touches to shirts or shoes. Use light grey or tan for the path, several greens for grass and trees, and a rainbow of colours for the flowers. The bench can look like warm wood with grey metal legs. Use round strokes inside the wheels, long strokes along the path, and short careful strokes around spokes, pedals, fingers, and laces. As you colour, trace the chain from the pedals to the back wheel and notice how the riders' eyes face forward. Good cyclists plan ahead, protect their heads, and share the path kindly.
