Bernese Mountain Dog Page

This gentle Bernese Mountain Dog stands on an alpine path with simple mountains and wildflowers nearby. Bernese dogs are large, calm companions with thick coats, floppy ears and friendly faces. Colour most of the coat deep black, add rich rust-brown patches on the cheeks and legs, and leave a bright white blaze on the face, chest and paws. Try cool blue or lavender for the distant peaks, green for the hillside and many sunny colours for the flowers. Start with the clear three-colour coat pattern, use smooth strokes across the big body and finish the background softly so the cuddly mountain dog stays easy to see.
