Beach Christmas Colouring Page

Christmas can happen in warm weather too. On this sunny beach, two children are decorating a tall sandcastle with seashells and a large Christmas star. One child places a shell on a tower while the other carefully lifts the star toward the highest point. Shell patterns cover the castle walls, gentle waves roll behind them and a palm tree bends beside the shore. Children can count the towers, find different shell shapes and notice how the star transforms an ordinary sandcastle into a festive creation. The page celebrates imagination and reminds us that Christmas traditions look different around the world. Some families wear winter coats, while others enjoy sunshine, sand and outdoor meals; kindness, sharing and time together can be part of either celebration. Begin with the sandcastle. Use golden tan, light brown or warm peach, leaving a few lighter areas to suggest sunlit sand. Colour shells in coral pink, pale purple, creamy yellow, soft orange or ocean blue. The large star can be bright yellow or gold so it becomes the strongest focal point. Add a slightly darker colour inside doorways and beneath tower tops, but avoid making those areas solid and heavy. Choose cool, comfortable colours for the children's beach clothes. Try turquoise, red, green, yellow or patterned shorts, with natural skin and hair tones. You can add tiny flower or wave patterns inside the broad clothing areas. The sea may use two or three blues, with white left along each wave crest. Colour the palm trunk warm brown and its leaves green, then use a very pale blue for the sky around the white clouds. Younger children can fill the castle, clothes and sea with broad crayon strokes. Older children may blend sand shades, give each shell a striped pattern and add small dots around the castle base to suggest grains of sand. Work slowly around the children's hands so their decorating actions remain easy to see. Keep the page bright by leaving some open white space near the clouds and horizon. Finish with the sun in yellow or orange and imagine whether this cheerful beach Christmas morning feels warm, breezy or sparkling after a swim.
